The ACUS M2 also features integrated preset options, ideal for artists refining their workflow. You can store up to three custom presets, allowing instant access to your preferred settings for maximum efficiency and consistency during sessions. In addition, the machine offers multiple torque modes to tailor motor response to your exact needs: m_L for optimized lining with precise needle movement; m_+1 to m_+2 for harder-hitting modes with software-assisted power boost; m_+0 for a natural, unmodified motor response; and m_-1 to m_-3 for softer modes that deliver smooth shading with enhanced motor feedback.
Powered by a Faulhaber 2214 BXT brushless motor, the ACUS M2 ensures minimal vibration, low noise output, and consistent performance across a frequency range of 36–140 Hz (3–12 V). The continuously adjustable needle depth from 0 to 4.5 mm provides ultimate precision control for every technique. Despite its robust capabilities, the machine maintains a compact and ergonomic design, weighing just 187 g including the battery. Its balanced construction reduces hand fatigue, even during extended sessions.
The device comes with two interchangeable grips — the 33 mm O-Grip 2 and the 40 mm O-Grip Plus — allowing you to customize comfort and handling according to your preference. The tool-free disassembly system makes switching stroke heads and cleaning the machine exceptionally simple and efficient.
The Li-Ion 18500 M2 battery delivers approximately 4–6 hours of runtime per charge. An LED charging indicator keeps battery levels visible at all times, while the external 2-slot USB-C charger allows fast and simultaneous charging of two batteries.
The full-format rear OLED display features integrated control buttons and multiple adjustable settings, including display brightness, auto shut-off, voltage or Hz display mode, and display timeout. The innovative 4-way joystick control enables intuitive menu navigation by pressing or tilting the display — fully operable even while wearing gloves and protective covers.
